Vietnam Slow Luxury 10 Days runs north to south with three-night stays in Hanoi (including one night on Ha Long Bay), Hoi An and Saigon.
Paced for slow travel. One unhurried outing a day, usually in the cooler morning, then back at the hotel by early afternoon for the pool, spa or afternoon tea. Late starts, private car and guide throughout, and time built in for coffee and conversation.
Best for: first-time clients who want all three regions in ten days. Ten days is one of the two trip lengths US, UK and Australian travellers search for most.
Meet and greet at Noi Bai International Airport and private transfer to the hotel. Time to rest after the flight.
Late afternoon, a short walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and an egg coffee in the Old Quarter. Welcome dinner at a selected Vietnamese restaurant.
Overnight: Capella Hanoi or Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
A slow breakfast, then a private morning visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake, with a coffee stop on the lake shore.
Back at the hotel by lunch. The afternoon is free for the spa, the pool or afternoon tea.
Overnight: Capella Hanoi or Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
Late-morning private transfer to the pier (about 2.5 hours on the expressway).
Board a Paradise cruise: lunch while cruising among the limestone karsts, then one activity of choice, a cave visit or kayaking. Tea on the sundeck at sunset and dinner on board.
Weather note: the bay authority may reroute or suspend cruises when storms arise. In that case the night moves to a 5-star hotel in Ha Long.
Overnight: Paradise cruise suite.
Tai chi on the sundeck at dawn, brunch on board and disembark around 11:00. Private transfer to Hanoi airport for the flight to Da Nang.
Private transfer to the resort and the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
An early walk through Hoi An Old Town and the market while the streets are still quiet, then coffee in a restored merchant house.
Back at the resort before the midday heat. Afternoon on the beach, by the pool or at the spa. Optional: a lantern-lit dinner in town.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Choose one outing: a buffalo-cart ride to Cam Thanh village, or a gentle cycle to Tra Que herb village with rice-paper making.
Lunch at the resort and afternoon tea. Late afternoon, an optional river boat with a basket-boat paddle and a sundowner.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
A slow breakfast, then the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Private transfer and check-in; the afternoon is free for the pool.
