Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An
Vietnam Slow Luxury 8 Days covers Hanoi, an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise and four nights at a beach resort near Hoi An, sized for clients with one week of leave.
Paced for slow travel. One unhurried outing a day, usually in the cooler morning, then back at the hotel by early afternoon for the pool, spa or afternoon tea. Late starts, private car and guide throughout, and time built in for coffee and conversation.
Best for: couples and families on a first visit who want the north and centre without changing hotels every night. Common with US travellers, who often travel for 7–8 days.
Meet and greet at Noi Bai International Airport and private transfer to the hotel. Time to rest after the flight.
Late afternoon, a short walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and an egg coffee in the Old Quarter. Welcome dinner at a selected Vietnamese restaurant.
Overnight: Capella Hanoi or Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
A slow breakfast, then a private morning visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake, with a coffee stop on the lake shore.
Back at the hotel by lunch. The afternoon is free for the spa, the pool or afternoon tea.
Overnight: Capella Hanoi or Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
Late-morning private transfer to the pier (about 2.5 hours on the expressway).
Board a Paradise cruise: lunch while cruising among the limestone karsts, then one activity of choice, a cave visit or kayaking. Tea on the sundeck at sunset and dinner on board.
Weather note: the bay authority may reroute or suspend cruises when storms arise. In that case the night moves to a 5-star hotel in Ha Long.
Overnight: Paradise cruise suite.
Tai chi on the sundeck at dawn, brunch on board and disembark around 11:00. Private transfer to Hanoi airport for the flight to Da Nang.
Private transfer to the resort and the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
An early walk through Hoi An Old Town and the market while the streets are still quiet, then coffee in a restored merchant house.
Back at the resort before the midday heat. Afternoon on the beach, by the pool or at the spa. Optional: a lantern-lit dinner in town.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Choose one outing: a buffalo-cart ride to Cam Thanh village, or a gentle cycle to Tra Que herb village with rice-paper making.
Lunch at the resort and afternoon tea. Late afternoon, an optional river boat with a basket-boat paddle and a sundowner.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
A day without a schedule at the resort. For guests who want one more outing: an early-morning visit to My Son Sanctuary, back by lunch, or a full day in Hue by private car over the Hai Van Pass.
Overnight: Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai or InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Breakfast and private transfer to Da Nang International Airport.
