Booking starred dining for groups

Most starred restaurants in Vietnam are small tasting-menu rooms, so they work differently from group restaurants.

• Small rooms. Upstairs has four tables; most others seat a limited number of covers a night. Groups larger than one or two tables usually need a private room, split seatings or a full buyout.
• Book early. Weekend and peak-season dates fill first. Send the date, group size and seating plan as soon as the program is confirmed.
• Dietary needs in advance. Tasting menus are prepared to a set sequence; vegetarian, halal, allergy and no-pork requests should reach the restaurant before the date, not at the table.
• Timing. A tasting menu takes most of the evening, so plan it as the evening's main event rather than before a show or late transfer.
